FIRST ANNUAL GRIZZY Ski, Bike & SPORT Swap

FLYER  AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ITEM REGISTRATION FORM
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS LIST

Sounds fun, what do I do???
  • Look around your garage, closets and bike racks to find gear you no longer use and are willing to “donate.” Examples of gear we’re looking for: bikes, skis, snowboards, poles, strollers, bike trailers, camping gear, ski boots, sleeping bags, ski and snowboard pants, jackets, backpacks, skateboards, tennis rackets, hockey equipment, lacrosse gear and rafting equipment.
  • Please don’t take this as an opportunity to dump broken, beat up, worn out, stinky and trashed equipment.
  • We are trying to give your gear another life and pass it onto someone who would appreciate using it.
OK, I have some gear, now what!?!?
  • On the Maple Grove PTA website, www.maplegrovepta.org, there is a link to an “Item Registration Form.” Print one out and fill in what you can. The most important part is naming your price* and the percentage of that item you want to donate to Maple Grove. If you want the item out of your garage, price it to sell or donate it 100%.
  • If you can’t print an Item Registration Form, we’ll have them available at drop-off, but the process will go faster if you fill it out beforehand.
*If you need help with pricing, we can assist with that at drop-off.

I’m loaded up, where do I take it???
  • Reference the Maple Grove PTA website or one of our flyers to see what drop off time/dates works with your schedule.
  • DROP OFF WILL BE LOCATED BEHIND THE SCHOOL.
  • We will catalog each item you drop off and store it in a secured container.

What if my stuff doesn’t sell??
No problem. Come to the event by 5:30 p.m. on the 7th and see if your items have sold. If your items were 100% donations, there’s no need to come back. Items not picked up by 5:30 will be donated to local organizations. Again, if you want it to sell...price it to sell!

How do I get paid??
Checks for sold items will be mailed after the swap, to the name and address listed on your Item Registration Form.
And last but not least, who are you guys????
We’re Volunteer Dads, Moms, Neighbors, Family and Friends of Maple Grove Elementary. We are not a business taking a “cut.” All profits will go back to the Maple Grove Elementary school PTA.
