Notes from the Grizzly Den

September 26th, 2025

Dear Maple Grove Families-

While it has been a heavy few weeks for our Jeffco community, our Spirit Week in honor of Deaf Awareness Month—culminating in the Fun Run and Fall Festival—reminded us of the power of coming together, showing our Maple Grove spirit, and celebrating the connections that make our community strong.  Our Student Leadership Team helped promote Spirit Week, including creating video sign language tutorials for classrooms to watch and learn from together and we had some special guests on our announcements to energize us all this week.  Way to go Student Leadership Team! Fall Fest was also a huge success.  Thank you to everyone that helped make this such a fun community event.

Thank you, families, for your continued support. It’s clear that when we come together as one community, we can face challenges, lift one another up, and create joyful experiences for our kids.

October Count: It’s official – October Count Day this year is Wednesday, October 1. 

The most important action you can take to support school funding is to make sure your student attends school on that day. Much of public education funding from the State of Colorado is based on student count, so we encourage you to make sure your student comes to school that day. Every student counts!
