ON BEHALF OF THE PTA, WELCOME!
To all of our new Maple Grove families, teachers and Principal, WELCOME! To all of our returning families and teachers, WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! We're excited to officially kick off the '25/'26 school year (tomorrow) with this amazing community. We have so many incredible programs, events and initiatives lined up this year aimed at enhancing the education and well-being of all students, families, staff and our community. We want to see our Grizzly Family THRIVE this year.
To celebrate the first day of school we're asking all students to meet on the blacktop out back (by the playgrounds) instead of heading straight to classrooms. Look for your teacher (holding a large sign) and gather with your new classmates outside before heading into school as a group.
And don't forget to stop by the PTA tables this Thursday from 5pm - 6:30pm during Back-to-School Night to learn about our 100% volunteer-led PTA organization and the work it does to support our school and community year-round. We'll have treats for kiddos and raffles for parents to entice you to stop by;)

Friday, August 22 (8-8:30am): Principal Coffee! Come have a cup of coffee and meet our new Principal, Cassie Nason.
Tuesday, Aug 26 (5pm): First PTA Meeting of the Year @ Tanglewood Park. Come learn about the PTA and how you can get involved. Kids are welcome to join!
Thursday, August 28 + Friday, August 29: Flex Testing for K-5. Modified schedule - stay tuned for more details.
Monday, September 1: NO SCHOOL (Labor Day)

UPCOMING WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:
CALLING ALL CREATIVE KIDDOS! We're looking for fresh new Maple Grove Grizzly designs for this year's Fun Run t-shirts and the cover of the Family Directory! Students from any grade may submit as many t-shirt and/or Family Directory designs as they'd like. Black and white artwork on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper will do! Please submit your child's artwork (or a photo of their artwork) no later than Monday, September 1 to Nicole Dickey: NicoleGrove2003@gmail.com

GRIZZLIES FOR EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION (GEDI): We'd love to see some new faces join the GEDI Committee this year to help plan fun events and educational opportunities alongside the teachers, staff and PTA centered around diversity and inclusivity. THE FAMILY DIRECTORY IS BACK!
Looking to connect with other Maple Grove families for playdates, carpooling or school activities? Looking for your child's class roster? Looking for consolidated Maple Grove teacher/staff contact info? Then look no further - the Maple Grove Family Directory is making a comeback this fall!
In lieu of opting into the family directory via Givebacks (formerly MemberHub) like we've done in the past, we're asking all families who are interested in appearing in the directory to FILL OUT THIS FORM by September 5th. Only information provided in the form will be published.
COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS:
Don't miss our first fundraiser of the year - the SAVVY KID SUNDAY Haircut + Photo Session Event presented by Elle.b Savvy Hair Salon and Shea in the Wild Photography. Snag a spot on Sunday, September 14 from 10am - 3pm for a kids haircut ($35) and/or portrait session ($200). The portrait session is a FUN 10 min shoot and includes 5 meaningful images (with option to purchase more). There will be fun treats and giveaways too! ALL PROCEEDS go back to the Maple Grove PTA! Miss Abby (singer, songwriter, musician, teacher and Maple Grove mom) is bringing back the Grizzly Cubs Choir for students in Kinder thru 2nd Grade! Sign up HERE to participate on Wednesdays from Sept 3rd - Nov 12th, 2:35 - 3:35pm. Click HERE to learn more and to explore private and small group music lessons as well.
Maple Grove students in grades 1-5 are invited to join the Colorado Mountain Club's (Maple Grove specific) afterschool climbing program running every Thursday from 2:35 - 5pm (Sept 4 - Nov 20). Students will be picked up from Maple Grove and transported down the street to the new CMC indoor wall in Golden. Click HERE to register now!

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 26th from 3-6pm for one of the most loved Maple Grove PTA events of the year - the Fall Fest!
