Welcome back, Grizzlies. We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend away and is ready to jump into the next few months that are jam-packed with fall fun! Some of our favorite Maple Grove programs and events are just around the corner: Fun Run, Fall Fest, School Dance, Halloween Parties, Talent Show, Food and Gift Drives, and so much more! But first, a few quick notes:
PTA Budget Approval
Thanks to last week's PTA meeting attendees - amidst the pouring rain we approved the '25/'26 PTA budget! Meeting minutes will be posted to the PTA News Page.
Notes from the Grizzly Den reminders:
School arrival time is 7:35am - 7:45am. For those students who arrive at or before 7:35am we will continue to line up by class on the blacktop out back before heading in one class at a time. School staff will remain at the two back doors, guiding students in until the 2nd bell rings at 7:45am at which point the back doors will close. Students who arrive after 7:45am should enter thru the front door to be signed in.
Volunteer background checks: In order to align ourselves with Jeffco standards for safety, Maple Grove will require some school volunteers to complete the "Volunteer Disclosure" form found HERE. This is required for field trip chaperones, Watch D.O.G.S volunteers, and anyone planning to work with small groups of students in the classroom. Please submit completed forms to our Financial Secretary, Krista Corthell at the Maple Grove front office (not the HR email address referenced at the bottom of the form), at which point you will need to provide Krista with your social security number and $17 processing fee. Forms will not be reviewed by Maple Grove staff - they will only be reviewed by Jeffco HR and will take approximately 5 days to process. The PTA will reimburse all fees for field trip volunteers and Watch D.O.G.S. For reimbursement please email Cheree at Treasurer2@maplegrovepta.org.

FUN RUN LOGO - LAST CALL! We're looking for fresh new Maple Grove Grizzly designs for this year's Fun Run t-shirts! Submissions from your children are due to Nicole Dickey (NicoleGrove2003@gmail.com) this Friday. Black and white artwork on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper will do!

Help plan fun events and educational opportunities alongside the teachers, staff and PTA centered around diversity and inclusivity. PERK UP WITH THE PTA
Join us this Friday, September 5th for coffee before school and cookies after school on the blacktop! Swing by the PTA table to say hi and grab a treat while supporting our school by renewing your PTA membership or becoming a new member! Becoming a PTA member does NOT commit you to any volunteering but it's a great way to gain a vote and show your support for our school.
Feel free to bring your own coffee cup to fill up!
FUN RUN + FALL FEST
Watch out summer, fall is creepin' in which means one of our favorite days of the year is approaching - FUN RUN + FALL FEST! During the day all students will run/walk/dance laps around a FUN 1/8 mile course during their AMP time - the more grownups we have lining the course, the more fun it is for everyone! Keep an eye out for more details next week - including the launch of the Fun Run registration site (9/8) and day-of volunteer signup sheet. Last year we raised over $45k for our school - let's see if we can match that this year!
Following the Fun Run we'll celebrate our kids and our community at the Fall Fest! Our 5th annual Fall Fest will feature games, bounce houses, concessions, prizes, arts & crafts and the return of the pie in the (teachers) face station! Stay tuned for how you can help support this event by volunteering at a booth the day of.
Don't miss our first fundraiser of the year - the SAVVY KID SUNDAY Haircut + Photo Session Event presented by Elle.b Savvy Hair Salon and Shea in the Wild Photography. Snag a spot on Sunday, September 14 from 10am - 3pm for a kids haircut ($35) and/or portrait session ($200). The portrait session is a FUN 10 min shoot and includes 5 meaningful images (with option to purchase more). There will be fun treats and giveaways too! ALL PROCEEDS go back to the Maple Grove PTA!
